With over more than 20 years of experience, Michelle Mehok brings unparalleled experience in the areas of patents, trademarks, copyrights and technology transactions.
Over the course of her career, Michelle has had exposure to a diverse array of technologies spanning pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, hospitality, retail, agriculture, alternative energy technology, wineries, and unmanned aircraft systems. Michelle values clear communication in a complex undertaking and strives to use precise language to reduce the risk of misinterpretation, ensuring that everyone is one the same page. As a result, Michelle endeavors to clearly communicate with all parties to ensure that the stakeholders enjoy a trusted business relationship.
Prior to founding Mehok Law, Michelle began her career with a premier intellectual property boutique law firm and then spent more than 20 years at a large global general practice law firm recognized among the best in the nation, rising from associate to Special Counsel, while working in the full intellectual property spectrum.
Michelle received her juris doctorate at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she was awarded Order of Barristers, Best Advocate and First Place Winner of the Giles Sutherland Rich Moot Court Competition – Northeastern Regional Competition. She was an Executive Editor of The Pittsburgh Journal of Technology Law and Policy and Staff Editor of Intellectual Property Law Review. She is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the U.S. District for the Southern District of California, and the Supreme Court of California.
Michelle earned a bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology specializing in Cell and Developmental Biology and a bachelor's degree in Architectural Studies from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
